Nevada May Witness Gambling Changes After Regulatory Hearings

Nevada casinos might face extreme changes after the regulatory hearings take place on 18th August. The Nevada Gaming Commission is considering a recommendation from the ZenSports’ Gaming Control Board to build a mousetrap in the sports wagering sector.

The West Hollywood, California-based startup is trying to revolutionize the Nevada gambling sector with the recommendation. Mark Thomas, ZenSports Director, and Chief Financial Officer talked about the situation as well.

Thomas, who also holds 81.35% shares of the startup, wants to deliver a peer-to-peer experience to users. It will allow bettors to wager against someone they are playing in a game. Thomas also wants to include cryptocurrencies in the wagering sector.

On its 4th August board presentation, Mark Thomas shared the unorthodox vision to evolve the sports gambling sector. Thomas acquired unanimous votes to lead the initiative, and ZenSports is now dealing with the Strategic Gaming Management to expand the movement. In addition, the startup is buying a venue from the company.

Thomas understands that merely investing in a venue will not yield the necessary results. That is why the startup is building an app that players can access across the state. If executed well, the app may compete against WynnBET, BetMGM, and William Hill.

ZenSports management recommended a two-year license to the CFO, but Thomas wants to be a bit less restrictive. Although Thomas has not suggested the inclusion of cryptocurrencies till now, its addition is inevitable.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board will assess the changes and what to do with wagering accounts. It will set the stage for upcoming changes in the sports wagering industry.

Experts are noting that several interactive gaming operators are not investing in brick-and-mortar properties. So while casinos are spending billions to enhance the Nevada gambling industry, the companies need to assess more concepts too.

With ZenSports proposing the new approach, Nevada may well be paving the way for a more interesting perspective about interactive gaming and peer-to-peer gambling that extends beyond online poker.
